MarshClan Main RP

Scorchpaw practically threw herself across the border when she reached it. She landed on her belly, panting heavily.

Rainpaw followed, exploding out of the high grass, landing with a thump on top of Scorchpaw. She scrambled off her sister, shaking her pelt to get off the mud she had collected from sprinting through the boggy grounds.

Heronstar hissed. "What are you doing in our territory!?" Hissed Heronstar. A couple of the other MarshClan cats hissed as well,showing sharp teeth that gleamed in the moonlight.
The moon's back out, Heatherheart realised.

"Eep!" Scorchpaw squeaked. "I-it was an a-accident," she mewed, her eyes widening with fear.

Heronstar was about to retort angrily, but instead he just shook his head and dismissed the cats. "I will be reporting to Pigeonstar, so you better have a good reason for this. Better than it was an accident. Go away before I lose my temper!"

"O-okay!" Scorchpaw glanced at her sister and then dashed off.

Rainpaw followed, out of MarshClan territory.

Heronstar glared at them until they could no longer be seen. "Let's get back to camp."

Fallowkit shook Dawnkit, who had fallen asleep. "Hey, wake up! They're back! We can ask what happened!"

((Is Dawnkit your cat or mine?))

"Really?!" Dawnkit jumped to her paws and shook herself awake. Littlekit woke up when his "sister's" tail bumped him. "Huh?" he yawned. "Are they back?"

((actually can I have Jaykit in return? Or would you rather me have Littlekit? Or neither? I'm fine with that.))

Fallowkit turned to his siblings. "Keep in the shadows, and creep nice and quietly." he said before checking once more that Poppylight was asleep.

((Sure, you can have lil' Jay))

Dawnkit nodded and sunk low to the ground. She flattened her fur and slunk forwards.

Jaykit made no attempt at hiding and leapt forwards, ahead of Fallowkit. "Catch me if you can!" She mewed.
Fallowkit ducked, as though dodging a cuff on the ear. "Sh, Jay! You're so stupid! We're not playing tag we're trying to keep quiet! You have to stay low, haunches down, tail flat. All senses must be alert..." He said, quoting his secret mentor.

"Okay," Dawnkit flattened her ears and dropped her tail onto the ground.

Heronstar wasted no time telling his clan of his plans. As soon as he was in, he yowled, "all cats strong enough to swim through the marsh gather here for a clan meeting!"

((thought that would be a suitable thing, seeing marsh is thick and suction-y, and they live in it.))

Hollystripe sat attentively looking up at Heronstar. Foxdapple sat nearby.

Heatherheart sat with a sigh, hoping her mate wasn't going to get the clan into any more trouble than they were already in.
Frostwhisker sat by Heatherheart, his apprentice Wishpaw sitting beside him. He caught a glare of battle hunger in her eyes, and realised that she had guessed correct- Heronstar was going to plan war.
Fallowkit and his siblings watched from the darkness as their leader's eyes gleamed with anger. He felt a dark prescence beside him, and wasn't sure if it was his imagination or if Thornstar was actually there.
Heronstar hissed. "I will tell you now what I saw. And it was EXACTLY what I saw. Applestar, the oh-so-great leader of TreeClan, was MATING a kittypet!" He waited for the reaction he hoped for...

Hollystripe's eyes widened in shock. "He is a leader! He should be setting an example for his clan, not disobeying the warrior code!"

Dawnkit almost yowled in surprise but stopped herself just in time.

Fallowkit flexed his claws. He'd take on that fool of a leader any day.

Heronstar nodded to Hollyflight, his most loyal companion, the best deputy he could imagine. "Exactly. He needs to be taught a lesson. He does not deserve to be a leader. This will be proven by how he reacts when his clan is attacked!"
Wishpaw stood up. "I'll bet he'll go running into the forest, and stay there living as a soft kittypet!" Hacklefrost and Sappaw growled in agreement.

"When do we attack?" Hollyflight asked. "We need to formulate a strategy."

Foxdapple stood to the side of the clearing feeling uneasy, this war was not a good idea in her opinion. Let StarClan deal any punishment deemed necessary, Applestar's misconduct was unrelated to her clan's position.

((I agree with Foxdapple. But... it's Heronstar's choice, not mine!))

Heronstar hissed. "I would go now, but we are unprepared and that would be foolish."

Heatherheart sighed, feeling torn. I feel like this whole idea is foolish.

"Tommorrow at dawn, Hollyflight and I will formulate a plan. Get some rest, and carry out your usual patrols, and make sure you are all full of energy and are well prepared mentally and physically. The invasion will take place at dusk." He fioished, dismissing the meeting.

Fallowkit was so eager to fight he felt like he was going to explode. "We should do what he said, guys. Get some sleep."
Jaykit frowned. "But we aren't going to be-" "We aren't going to be nothing. Let's sleep." But Fallowkit knew he wouldn't be able to, a courageous and dangerous idea formulating in his mind, one that Thornstar would surely be proud of.

"Right!" Hollystripe nodded. "Everyone to your dens. Grayflight, you can guard the entrance."

Foxdapple sighed and padded back into her den, hoping StarClan would send her a sign of what to do.

Grayflight nodded to Hollyflight. "Okay."

Talonfur bounded to his nest, an urge for battle itching his pelt like fleas. He curled up and attempted to sleep, imagining that pathetic Applestar getting what he deserved.

Foxdapple felt a breeze rustle her pelt. StarClan cannot stop this battle, Foxdapple sighed and padded into her den to sort her stores.

Talonfur was awake long before dawn. His eyes still closed, he could feel the apprehension in the air of the den. Some cats were scared, others were excited. But one thing he knew for sure, he wasn't the only one awake.

Hollystripe sat alert outside Heronstar's den, watching for any intruders. Her ears pricked as she picked up pieces of early morning conversation and cats groaning in their sleep.
