Buzzardtail's fur prickled, but he forced it flat. "You'd better watch yourself Squirrel, or you'll really get what's coming to you," he mewed in a threatening tone.

"Are you deaf as well as stupid?" asked Wildfire. "Its Wildfire, not Squirrel. Squirrels are things you hunt, Wildfire's are things that hunt you." he said nearly running out of breath. "And if you can't work it out yet, I don't want your company."

Buzzardtail let out a angry hiss and spun around to face Wildfire, teeth bared.

Jaywhisper's hackles raised and she looked up tithe sky for a sign of StarClan's displease.
"Buzzardtail, he's just a stupid rouge. Let's leave it."

Gingersnow and Heatherheart looked at each other, and Gingersnow felt a twinge of embarrassment. "Wildfire calm down. Please."

Earthpaw nudged Honeypaw as he noticed the apprentices gathering together. "Let's join them." He suggested.

Rainpaw, dragged along by the other apprentices, looked away, searching madly for the cat.
Lavenderpaw eyed her suspiciously. "And what just might you be looking for?" she asked.
Randomly, Crabpaw batted Beetlepaw. "Pass it on." he said.
Scarletpaw bounded over to the circle. "Trust Crabpaw to be the random one." the older apprentice said.

Buzzardtail forced his fur flat, "yeah, right. See ya rouge." He spun around and stalked off.

Beetlepaw rolled his eyes and batted Lilypaw, "pass it on."

Rainpaw gasped, and some of the apprentices heads urned towards her. "Sorry I thought I saw a squirrel." And in truth she had seen a squirrel... the squirrel she loved.

((Wait.... W-w-wh-wha...? WHAAAAAAAAAAAATT?))

"A squirrel? are you sure?" Sunpaw asked.

((Haha... You think you know? Well think again... It might not be who it seems.))

"Well, something definitely moved in that tree. You guys stay here... I'm gonna go check it out."
Crabpaw jumped up. "I'll come too!"
Rainpaw turned to him. "No!"
Once again all eyes were on her and her pelt bristled with embarrassment. "I mean..."
The younger Lilypaw's whiskers twitched in amusement. "I think our Rainy has a secret she's reluctant to tell!"

((Well... Squirrel could be Wildfire, or Squirreltalon.. or..um... those are the only fluffy-tailed toms I can find.. unless he looks like a squirrel some other way.))

"Oooh! Really?" Sunpaw mewed.

"Hehe.. Rainpaw, what's this squirrel then?" Beetlepaw mewed slyly.

Icestar led RockClan into the mass of cats gathered around the old twoleg place, then she bounded over to join the other leaders.

Coppersong jumpd up beside the deputies. "Hello," she said cheerfully, "I hope this rather good weather lasts." she said.

Lightningbelly came up behind (onceagainitsyourchoicewhohisfriendis). "Hey," he said tapping Squirreltalon on the shoulder, "how's the prey running?"

Rainpaw was stunned with embarrassment. Oh why did she have to be such a bad LIER!?
"Well... um... it's not..." Rainpaw turned to her sister for help. (will she help her? Or will she make it worse? Lol!)
Scarletpaw looked around. "Let's see... who here's name has Squirrel in it?"
If there was a hole in the ground, Rainpaw would have jumped right into it.

((oops just realized Earthpaw arrived to the gathering a bit too early!))

Scorchpaw giggled. "Well the name 'squirrel' narrows it down a bit, eh Rainy?"

"Hey Lightningbelly," Waterbreeze mewed.

Hollystripe continued to watch Applestar with narrowed eyes.

"Hello Coppersong," Fallenleaves mewed cheerfully.

"Hi," Summitfall mewed and then her gaze turned to Hollystripe. "Uh.. Hollystripe, what are you doing?"

If it had just been maybe... her, Scorchpaw, Scarletpaw and Beetlepaw, her best friends. Then she wouldn't have minded as much! but the fact that it was pretty mich every single apprentice made her shake. She couldnt take this! She turned and fled, out of the clearing, straight into MarshClan territory... "Oops." She said to herself, but at least she wouldn't be followed here... She hoped.

"Hey, Rainpaw! Wait!" Scorchpaw raced after her sister. "Rainpaw!"

"Maybe we shouldn't of teased her.." Sunpaw mewed and she looked down at her paws.

Lilypaw felt sore with guilt, and agreed with Sunpaw. "Hm."

Lightningbelly smiled. "Fernwing is expecting kits!" He burst.

Coppersong looked at Hollyflight. "Yes, what are you doing?"

"Congratulations!" Waterbreeze mewed, smiling broadly and openly.

Hollystripe shook her head. "It's.. it's nothing.." she mewed distractedly.

Bluepaw padded down into the clearing, looking around at the mass of cats.

Mothstar leaped up beside the other leaders. "Sorry we're so late." he mewed earnestly.

"Um.. Sure, Hollystripe." Summitfall turned to Coppersong. "So how's the prey running with you?" she asked.

Bluepaw spotted a group of apprentice-aged cats, and padded over to them. "Hi," she meowed.

"Oh.. uh.. hi," Sunpaw mewed gloomily.

"Hi! I'm Bluepaw, from WillowClan."Bluepaw meowed.

"I'm Sunpaw..." Sunpaw mewed quietly.

Scarletpaw stared distractedly at where the two apprentices had just disappeared. "Hi Bluepaw... Um I'm Scarletpaw. Sorry about this... It's just that two cats have gone sprinting off into a territory that's not theirs."

"Now who we're all waiting for is... Wait we're all here!" Heronstar noticed.
He stood up and took a breath. "LET THE GATHERING BEGIN!" He bellowed, waiting for all the cats to pay attention. He looked at Applestar. "She-cats first," he sneered.
Pigeonstar, startled by Heronstar's rudeness, let out a snort. What was going on between the two leaders!?

((Whoa! Isn't Applestar a tom?))

Cloudsong hissed under her breath, "how dare he talk to Applestar like that!"

"Umm.. Who are you talking to Heronstar? Applestar's not a she-cat," Harestar mewed innocently.

"Trust Harestar not to recognize an insult," Morningflight shook her head. Hollystripe growled from next to her, her eyes locked on Applestar.

Squirreltalon growled. "It's a gathering!" he hissed under his breath.

Jaywhisper couldn't help but smile. She suddenly decided Heronstar to be her favorite leader after her own. She looked for Falconstar's reaction.

Coppersong stood up in surprise, her hackles raising. She slowly sat back down, calming her nerves. And then she noticed Hollystripe's gaze beig directly at Applestar. "Something's up," she commented to herself.

Summitfall nudged Coppersong, "what do you think is up with them?" she asked. Fallenleaves pricked but he tried to keep his cool.

Cloudsong looked up at the sky, she could see clouds threatening to cover the moon. "StarClan is angry, we mustn't fight. That no-good Heronstar."

"MarshClan hasn't been the same since Thornstar became leader..." Webfur muttered.
