"Those MarshClan cats are always up to no good!" Muttered Greenleaf angrily. Spinningleaf turned to go back to the den. "Best we not worry about it, brother. Like Seaheart said."
"Are you saying us Elders are hopeless?"
"No, that's not what-"
"Well, I'll tell you what brother, I still have some fight in me and if those MarshCat clans ever try to..." Greenleaf broke into a fit of coughing, and Spinningleaf laid his tail softly on his brother's shoulder. "I think you are coming down with a cough. I think it might do you to see Night-"
"I'm fine! I can look after myself..." he began to cough again, spluttering spit onto Crabpaw.
"Ew..." Sighed Crabpaw.

Nightshade heard the spluttering and padded over to the elders. "Greetings, Greenleaf, Spinningleaf. Are you both feeling well?" he eyed Greenleaf.

Spinningleaf was about to say that he thought Greenleaf needed to be checked, but Greenleaf stopped him. "Nightshade I'm fine, believe me. Actually, seeing you reminds me of when you were a tiny apprentice, named Nightpaw, when Eelheart was still medicine cat. I remember once-" "I'm sure Nightshade would like to be getting some rest, Greenleaf, and I suggest we do the same." Interrupted Spinningleaf.

"Very well then," Nightshade narrowed his eyes and slunk away.

Silversand knelt on a rock, worn down by the wind.
As soon as they get 'star' in their name, they turn into crabs, pincering your tail until you fight back. she whispered under her breath.
That alone made her glad she was SeaClan.
She then realised a Crab actually had grabbed her tail and quickly whacked it away.

Cloudkit snuck away from his nest and sat beside Silversand. He had grown to look up to the she-cat, after she had been there when he had nearly been swallowed by the sea. "Do you think we'll fight? Because if there is a battle, I want to fight! Sealkit and I are nearly apprentices... maybe if they hold it off for long enough..."

Sealkit rolled over in her sleep. "..fi..sh.." she muttered and rolled over again.

"Now don't you worry, Cloudkit." Silversand said, knowing that Cloudkit was not worrying at all. "Plenty more battles are to come the way the other clans are behaving."
She killed the crab and started gnawing at its shell.

Cloudkit turned and snorted at his sleep talking sister in the nursery across the camp clearing. "Fish you too," he said before turning his attention back to Silversand. "I'm glad we live in SeaClan. We're different, aren't we? Not like the other clans."

Starflower roused from her sleep after hearing her kits talking. Why were they awake? She saw Silversand and Cloudkit sitting outside and smiled. She stood up, stretching her limbs. "Come on, Cloudkit. It's time to rest now."

Silversand was about to answer when Starflower called Cloudkit over.
Yes, I am glad too she answered to herself.
She finally hacked off a large chunk of the crab's shell.
"Thank you, StarClan for this meal" she said as she took a bite.
Maybe not so thank you she thought as she tasted the crab and started burying it under sand.

"mmm..." Sealkit curled up in her sleep.

"Mum! Mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy!" Cloudkit squeaked, climbing on her sleeping mother's tummy.

"Not now, Cloudkit. Too... early..." Starflower muttered, rolling over and toppling Cloudkit.

Sealkit blinked open her eyes, awoken by Cloudkit's squealing. She giggled and climbed to her paws.

"Brother! brother, brother, brother, brother!" she giggled and tackled Cloudkit.
